What Equipment is Needed for the Journey?

The journey to spiritual transformation isn't anything like the Iron Man or triathelete competitions they show on television today! Have you watched one lately? They are elaborate events. Many of the participants have corporate sponsors,and hi-tech equipment, fancy apparel, state of the art bikes, helmets, and goggles. And don't forget about the shoes! The events are hosted in exotic locations like the deserts of Arizona or the lush Hawaiian islands. While participants struggle to contend with nature and the elements, heat exhaustion, and broken bicycle chains, they have a cushy controlled environment in which to run their race as opposed to Christians on their spiritual transformation journey. Why do I say that?
